Another Facebook Privacy Blunder: Primary Contact Email Changed

As always Facebook has once again made some privacy changes in User's Accounts without notifying or informing them. All primary E-Mails in User's Contact Info has been forced to @Facebook.com As there was not a single message to users informing them about such changes, it seems another Privacy Blunder from Facebook Team. They have replaced user's contact E-mail from User's Specified to Facebook Internal E-Mail from User's Profile Info.

The primary E-Mail address that you have set for Facebook notifications other Facebook Account related emails is still the same, but the one that is shown on your profile as your Contact E-Mail has been replaced without your permission,

as always. What if I’m not visiting Facebook for a whole month and the only email through which I can be contacted happens to be Facebook’s internal email that I’m not even using?  If you wish to keep this hidden or replace the contact email on your profile with a real email address, follow this quick fix. 

1. Go to your profile and click About.
2. Go down to Contact Info and click on Edit
4. Scroll down to your email addresses
5. Click on the tiny circle next to your Facebook email and set to Hidden from Timeline
6. Click the circle on your other email and set to Shown on Timeline

7. Scroll down and hit the Save button.

Google Drive: Can Ohters Survive Against Web-800 Pounds Gorilla

The web's 800-pounds gorilla has jumped into Cloud Storage Service Pool. This definitely has caused a huge splash in water, time will tell this gorilla can swim or not.One thing for sure can be said that Google Drive will definitely exert pressure on the competition and will give a tough time to Small Player of game like DropBox. Google Drive's low prices in competition of  Premium storage services are attracting the existing customers of other Cloud Storage Service Providers. 

Google has leverage of it already existing and strong relationships with 100s of Millions of Google Users. Based on these relationships Google Drive can push back the major player of this Cloud Storage Service Game, and definitely alarming situations for the small players.

One of the DropBox's Pro Users "Ritchie H." has posted on DropBox Online forum "Goodbye Dropbox - Hello Drive. 200GB for $9.99? I think that's what is known as a no brainier. Security Schoomaty! " 

The Question is Can DropBox and other Cloud Storage Service Providers survive against this Web-800-Pounds Gorilla "Google Drive"?

Facebook Buying AOL Patents from Microsoft for $550 Million

Just after a couple of week of Instagram Acquisition by Facebook for $1 Billions,a new Deal Comes In. Facebook agreeing to pay $550 Millions for 650 AOL Patents and Patent Applications.
Earlier this month Microsoft sealed a deal with AOL for buying 925 patents and patent applications for pretty cash amount of $1.06 billion.
On April 23, 2012 Microsoft announced that it will retain the 275 AOL Patents Ownership and  retain the license of 650 AOL Patents and Applications that Facebook has agreed to purchase for $550 Million.
Zeus Kerravala, an analyst with ZK Research, says; Reason for being short on 650 AOL Patients is an unclear action from Microsoft but Facebook appears to be Stockpiling to boost their IPO Valuation, that is expected in Spring this year.
Kerravala also added; "Facebook got lots of money. What they need is handsome valuation for their IPO"


"Facebook in February filed for an initial public offering, seeking to raise $5 billion in what could be the largest Internet IPO on record. The company may seek a valuation of $75 billion to $100 billion, people familiar with the matter have said."

FBI Warning: Disinfect Computers from DNS Changer or Risk Internet Access

FBI has issued a warning against a Trojan DNS Changer. This is a malware that can infect Windows OS as well as Mac System. On 9th of July 2012, thousands of Internet Users can lose access to the internet because of this malware piece DNS Changer. "Article on Forbes"
 
This Trojan; DNS Changer, was discovered back in the year of 2007, which infected millions of computer systems at that time. Last year FBI in collaboration with Estonian Police, seized the servers of the cyber criminals responsible of spreading DNS Changer. However the servers were kept online by these cyber criminals.

The DNS Changer intercepts the visited websites, and redirects the internet user from the chosen one website to visit to the servers that Cyber Criminals have under control. These servers then throw thousands of web ads user's computer system which in result fills the Criminal's Account with millions of Dollars in lightening Speed.
The DNS Changer is harmful for both The Windows Operating Systems as well as Mac Systems; However, users of Android, iPhone, iPad and Linux Users are safe from this Malware Attack.
The DNS Changer Working Group (DCWG) has created a website that helps you finding out If Your System is affected by DNS Changer, if so, it removes the DNS Changer Malware from your Computer System.

After the July 8th 2012 you might not be able to Run the diagnostic test and get rid of this Mal-ware without being effected,  So it is recommended to check your systems SOONER.
